Is a chi hair straightener that much better than a conair one?

my hair is not too thick, but my conair straightener (which cost about $30) takes me kind of a while to straighten my hair...would spending all that money on a chi straightener make that much of a difference that it would be worth it?Is a chi hair straightener that much better than a conair one?

Probably. The chi straightener gets hotter than the conair (and other lower end straighteners) and can get your hair straighter faster (so this means less exposure to the heat element). My hair stylist said conair is fine for hair dryers and curling irons, but for straightening the chi is best.
They are better, but they don't have a tempature setting, so be careful, they can be more damaging to your hair. I would reccommend a Sedu straightener. They are better for your hair, and they work better than a chi, but they are more expensive.
I think Chi hair straighteners are much better. They are better quality than Conair and is definitely worth the money. I hope this helps. : )
I used to use a little cheap straightener from walmart. Then I bought a Chi, it is so different! I would never go back.
